Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 6, 2026
This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Lev, Inc. (“Lev,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Lev — including getlev.co and any related products, services, or apps that link to this Policy (the “Service”).
We built Lev to help founders move faster. That only works if you trust us with the early, messy, confidential stuff — your ideas, your customer notes, your half-formed pitches. So we’ll start with the promises that matter most.
Your Data Is Yours
A few commitments:
You own your content. Anything you create, upload, or generate inside Lev — your Canvas content, ideas, decks, exports, customer interviews, company materials — belongs to you. We claim no ownership.
We don’t train AI models on your company data. Your prompts, your outputs, your Canvas content, your uploaded documents — none of it is used to train Lev’s models or any third-party model. Period.
We don’t read your stuff. Lev employees do not browse, review, or analyze the contents of your account. The narrow exceptions: if you explicitly ask us to (e.g., a support ticket where you share something with us), if we’re legally compelled to, or if automated abuse-prevention systems flag a security or safety issue that requires human review.
You can export and delete. You can export your content at any time, and you can delete your account and the data associated with it. When you delete, we delete — subject to short retention windows for backups and legal obligations described below.
What We Collect
Information you give us. Account info (name, email, password, company), billing info if you’re on a paid plan, and anything you choose to share with us through support, surveys, or community channels.
Content you create or upload. The content you put into Lev — Canvas entries, documents, prompts, exports, attachments. We store this so we can deliver the Service to you. See the section above for what we don’t do with it.
Information we collect automatically. Standard product telemetry: device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, features used, timestamps, error logs, and similar usage data. This helps us keep the product running and improve it.
Cookies and similar tech. We use session cookies (expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (stay until you delete them) for authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
Information from third parties. If you sign in with Google or another identity provider, we receive basic profile info from them. If you connect integrations (e.g., Slack, Notion, Drive), we receive only the data needed for the integration to work, and only with your authorization.
How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate you and keep your account safe.
- Provide AI-generated outputs in response to your prompts and Canvas activity.
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account, billing, and material changes to the Service.
- Send product updates, tips, and occasional marketing emails (you can opt out anytime).
- Analyze aggregated, de-identified usage patterns to improve features and prioritize the roadmap.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your content to train AI models, sell your data to third parties, or share your content with advertisers.
AI Providers and Subprocessors
Lev uses third-party AI model providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) to generate outputs. When you submit a prompt, your input is sent to the relevant provider for processing.
We choose providers and configure our integrations so that your inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. Where providers offer enterprise or zero-retention terms, we use them.
We also use standard infrastructure subprocessors for hosting, analytics, error monitoring, email, and payments. We require these subprocessors to handle your data under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. A current list is available on request.
How We Share Information
We share personal information only in these situations:
- With your consent. When you explicitly ask us to share something or connect an integration.
- With service providers. Subprocessors who help us run the Service (hosting, payments, email, analytics, AI providers) under contract.
- For legal reasons. To comply with law, valid legal process, or government requests; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lev, our users, or others.
- In a business transaction. If Lev is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that deal. We’ll notify you.
- Aggregated or de-identified data. We may share aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
We do not sell your personal information.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard at it and we’ll notify you promptly if something material happens.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your content for as long as your account is active. If you delete content, it’s removed from our active systems promptly and from backups within a reasonable cycle (typically 30–90 days).
If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we’re legally required to retain it (e.g., billing records) or where a short retention window is needed for security and abuse prevention.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict use of your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly in the product or by emailing us at the address below.
Marketing emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Opting out doesn’t stop transactional messages (billing, security, account notices).
Cookies. Manage in your browser. Some features depend on cookies and may break if you block them.
Young Founders and Children
We love that more young people are thinking like entrepreneurs — and we want to encourage that. The earlier you start asking founder questions (who has this problem? what would solve it? who would pay for it?), the better. That energy is exactly what the world needs more of.
At the same time, we take protecting young people’s data seriously, and the rules around it are strict for good reason. Lev’s account creation is intended for people 18 and older (matching our Terms of Service), and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you’re younger and excited about an idea, the best path is to explore Lev with a parent or guardian — talk through your idea, sketch it together, and have them set up the account if you want to take it further. If you’re a parent or guardian who believes your child created an account or shared information with us, email privacy@getlev.co and we’ll delete it promptly.
International Users
Lev is operated from the United States. If you use Lev from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our subprocessors operate. By using Lev, you consent to this transfer.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or in the product before the changes take effect. The “Last Updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
